(WKBW/ABC News) A new study finds that men who smoke are at a greater risk of dying from prostate cancer.

Researchers found patients who were smokers at the time of prostate cancer diagnosis were at a 61% greater risk of dying from the disease.

Smokers were also more likely to experience a relapse of their cancer.

There is a silver lining in this report. Men who had quit smoking 10 or more years prior to being diagnosed with prostate cancer had the same death risk as non-smokers.
