(WKBW) The Sheehan Health Network has faced financial troubles before, and now officials say it's hitting another bump in the road, hoping the more members of the community will take advantage of its services.
The Sheehan Health Network is located on Michigan Avenue in Buffalo. It's a 50-bed full service hospital without an emergency room. It provides a number of medical services, including a family clinic, staffed with doctors and specialist and a radiology department for x-rays, cat scans and mammograms.
Most of its patients are on medicaid and reimbursements are down, but the hospital that has been providing medical care to Western New York for more than 100 years is determined to stay in business.
Hospital officials say they are looking for grant money to help the medical facility's bottom line.
They are also planning to bring an urgent care center to the hospital in the future.
