(WKBW/Cleveland Clinic) It's not always easy getting your kids to eat healthy foods, especially if they're a picky eater, but with a little ingenuity and some patience, you may be able to expand their
menu past fish sticks, chicken nuggets, and macaroni and cheese.

Dietitians say start by adding some cut-up chicken or lean ground meat to the macaroni and cheese.

Also, pureeing vegetables is a great way to sneak in vegetables.

They also recommend making things like fruit, vegetable, or chicken kabobs or replace the chicken nuggets with some cut-up boneless, skinless chicken and allow them to dip it in some honey mustard or even salsa.

Dietitians say getting your kids to eat healthier foods
won't happen overnight.

Research shows it may take up to 10-15 times for a child to accept a new food, so be patient.
