(WKBW/Cleveland Clinic) When the kids get home from school, it seems they're always looking for something to eat, but there's a fine line between a simple snack and ruining their appetite before dinner.

Dietitians say your best bet is to keep your kids from "grazing" on a bag of potato chips when they get home.

Dietitians say a bowl of hot soup is always a good choice. It can warm kids up on a cool, fall afternoon and give them an extra
serving of vegetables.

A cup of low-fat milk with an instant breakfast added or even some
chocolate or strawberry flavoring is also good.

You can also serve a cup of yogurt with fruit or maybe some of their favorite breakfast cereal on top.

The snack is even better if the kids help put it together!
