The Town of Akron is now better equipped to save lives. The entire student body at Akron High School spent a week in January being trained in basic CPR. It's in honor of Emily Rose, a student who died of sudden cardiac arrest on a town soccer field in 2009.
The American Heart Association is urging the state to pass a law, requiring all high school students know CPR before graduation.
CPR can double or triple survival of a sudden cardiac arrest victim.
