YMCA Needs Public Help To Win Cancer Grant

(WKBW) For people who have heard the dreaded words, "you have cancer", this is the hope they need. A program at the YMCA Buffalo-Niagara that helps those who are recovering from treatments.

Now, the YMCA Buffalo-Niagara is in line for a grant from Lance Armstrong's Livestrong Community Impact Project. It's to help fund the 12-week program for cancer patients.

It isn't about the disease, but the recovery and includes exercise, wellness and support that survivors say is key to getting their lives back to normal.

The YMCA Buffalo-Niagara is one of nine finalists in the running for the Livestrong grant money and needs the community's votes to win it!!!
