There is a new study out concerning the dangers of bounce houses. Those backyard birthday party favorites are also home to more than 200 injuries each week.

The most serious cases are typically from bounce houses that weren't tied down.

Researchers say from 1990 to 2010, more than 64,000 children were
sent to the ER due to injuries in these air-filled playhouses.

By the last year of the study, an average of 31 children were hurt each day.

Most of the injuries came from children falling down or running into each
other, resulting most often in broken bones and sprains to the arms and
legs.

But there are other areas of concern. The study found that 7 percent of the children had concussions.

The study suggests better design may prevent
injuries and says there should be better guidelines for using them safely.
