(WKBW) A plea for blood donations from the American Red Cross.
This week's winter storm that swept across the South and up the Eastern Seaboard has forced the cancellation of hundreds of blood drives, leading to a shortfall of more than 8,000 blood donations in the areas affected by the storm.
If you'd like to help out, a blood drive is being scheduled in Buffalo on Saturday, January 15 from 10am - 3pm at the Red Cross Donor Center at 786 Delaware Avenue. It's being held in honor of Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. and his legacy of community service.
