(WKBW) A comprehensive report on colon cancer finds a strong link between the disease and diet.
The study from the American Institute for Cancer Research shows that red and processed meat increase risk of colon cancer and that foods containing fiber offer protection against colon cancer.
Researchers say more than 60,000 cases of colon cancer in the U.S. every year could be prevented, if we all ate more fiber-rich plant foods and less meat, drank less alcohol, moved more and stayed lean.
