"Where Did I Come From?"

Today in America, there are millions of babies who were born with the help of science. They're either the result of in vitro technology or artificial insemination. But, one day, some of these kids will ask, "where did I come from?" How can parents answer that question?

Some families choose to keep their reproductive past a secret. However, experts say that comes with a risk. The secret could get out, and the child could be hurt and confused as a result. For parents who want to tell their children, it's best to have the conversations early on and use simple language. Also, be sure to reinforce to your child that they are wanted and loved.
