Kids Concerned About The Future

Cases of career-related anxiety among teens have increased an estimated 20 percent in the last ten years. Experts say striving for success is great - - unless it becomes obsessive.

Dr. John Lochridge is a Psychiatrist. He says, "They become anxious, jittery. They become worriers. "

Experts say parents have to help kids put success in perspective.

Psychologist, Alexandra Phipps, says, "If we could emphasize being, if we could emphasize the moment, as opposed to where we are going to be in five years, where we're going to be in ten years. What are we achieving?"

The issue is balance. The future is important - - but so is right now.
