Women In Leadership: Sharon Brown

Sharon Brown is the woman at the helm of an electrical business started back in 1981 by her late husband.

The Tonawanda native started doing the books for Tom Brown Electric while holding down a full-time job, and when her husband died in 2003, she was ready to throw in the towel, but his two employees at the time talked her out of it.

Eleven years later, now known as just Brown Electric, business has tripled under Sharon's leadership, topping a million dollars in sales. There are eleven employees and the company broke ground in 2011 on a new office and warehouse in Pendleton.
