North Tonawanda, N.Y. (WKBW) - Family will gather to say their final goodbyes to Heather Rylowicz. Rylowicz's body was found less than a week ago. Police said her boyfriend beat her to death.
The discovery was made in her home on Lincoln Avenue in North Tonawanda. Police confirmed that she died from blunt and sharp force trauma to the head and neck. Police located her boyfriend Brian Lowry, 32, after a short search. Authorities charged him with Rylowicz's murder. He is in jail awaiting a hearing.
Those who knew Rylowicz call her a loving and warm woman who loved animals, especially her dog. According to her Facebook page, she was close to her family and Lowry. Police have not released information about how or why they believe Lowry killed her. They are waiting for those details to be released in court.
Meanwhile, police are still looking for Rylowicz's car, hoping it could shed some light on the case. She drove a 2008 green Ford Taurus Station Wagon. If you think you know where the vehicle is, call police at 692-4312.
Heather's funeral will begin at 11 a.m. at the Fantauzzi Funeral Home in Fredonia, Tuesday morning. A wake will be held before the funeral service. Heather leaves behind several family members and friends, including nieces and nephews.
