BUFFALO, NY (WKBW) - A number of roadways remain closed due to the lake effect storm and flooding in the Southern Tier.
Here is the latest information as of Friday morning:
The driving ban for areas in South Buffalo has been lifted, but a travel advisory remains in place. City officials are asking motorists to use caution when driving.
The alternate parking rules for these areas have been suspended until further notice.
The New York State Thruway is now open.
Travel Alerts
The Town of West Seneca has a travel advisory in effect with no unnecessary travel until further notice throughout most of the town.
Road Closures
Route 240 (Harlem Road) is closed in both directions between Route 354 (Clinton street) and Route 16 (Seneca street) in West Seneca.
Mineral Springs Road Eastbound is closed from Buffum Street to Union Road due to a travel ban in the Town of West Seneca.
Indian Church Road Eastbound is closed from Manhasset Street to Union Road due to a travel ban in the Town of West Seneca.
Seneca Street Southbound is closed from Indian Church Road to Harlem Road due to a travel ban in the Town of West Seneca.
I-86 Westbound from Exit 23 (RTE 219) is closed due to flooding.

RTE 305 Northbound - Closed at Pennsylvania State Line to Route 417 in the Town of Portville due to flooding. Reported at 9:43 pm.
RTE 305 Southbound - Closed at Route 417 to the Pennsylvania State Line in the Town of Portville due to flooding. Reported at 4:58 am.
The Thruway Authority says it will waive tolls for vehicles caught on the Thruway, and E-Z Pass users will have their accounts adjusted accordingly. Motorists who have abandoned their vehicles are advised to call the Thruway Statewide Operations Center at (800) 842-2233. Any towing charges incurred will be covered by the Thruway.
