BUFFALO, N.Y. (WKBW) –So far there is no sign of Dr. Timothy Jorden, who police say is a person of interest in the shooting death of a Buffalo woman.
Police are now pulling out all the stops to try and find him.
Jorden is wanted in connection with the shooting death of ECMC receptionist Jacqueline Wisniewski. The 33-year-old single mother was killed after being shot in the head in the David K. Miller office Building at ECMC, Wednesday.
Police immediately began searching for Jorden following the shooting. SWAT teams went room to room at ECMC and also searched the doctor’s Lakeview home but turned up nothing.
Meanwhile, some who knew Dr. Jorden are shocked by the news. His ex-wife Francisca Wellsbury now lives in California but made a statement to the media.
“I’m just as shocked as anyone. It’s traumatic. This is not the person I knew,” Wellsbury said.
Contractor Perry Smith has known Jorden for years and is currently working on his home.
“He’s the calmest person I know. I worked for him for six years and you get to know someone after a while,” Smith said.
Other people are painting another picture of Jorden. Cheektowaga Police said he has been connected to a couple of domestic disputes there but neither was related to the ECMC shooting victim.
As for the search, police said they’ve alerted agencies all over Western New York to be on the look out for Jorden. They continue to monitor his home and other places he may frequent.
