GAINESVILLE, NY ( WKBW/Release) - At approximately 1:24 P.M. Thursday, the New York State Police out of Warsaw responded to a report of an agricultural accident on School Road in the Town of Gainesville, NY.
Wyoming County dispatch received a report of a farm worker from Marquart Farms that was seriously injured as a result of being struck by a farm vehicle while harvesting potatoes.
The Gainesville Fire Department along with Monroe Ambulance also responded and located an 86-year-old male victim that had been struck by a farm truck, the victim was pronounced deceased at the scene by the Wyoming County Corner.
The investigation into the accident is pending at this time.
