WILLIAMSVILLE, NY (WKBW)- The soaring cost of a college education has more students opting for a more affordable option: community college. That growth is fueling a major expansion at Erie Community College (ECC). ECC announced Tuesday plans to expand and provide a new science, technology engineering and math building on its North Campus. The future building, costing around $30 million, would house facilities for programs such as a biology, bio-manufacturing, chemistry, engineering science, medical lab technology, medical assisting, nursing, physics and respiratory care. Construction is expected to being sometime in 2014.
