A Florida man has filed a class-action lawsuit after being ticketed for flashing his vehicle's headlights to warn other drivers of a police speed trap in Tampa in 2009, according to a St. Petersburg Times report.
According to the Times story, the suit accuses police of misinterpreting Florida law and violating the free speech rights of motorists. The story goes on to say that the lawsuit estimates 2,400 Florida motorists were cited fro the same offense between 2005-2010.
