Men Who Hold In Anger At Risk For Heart Attack

Story Updated: Nov 23, 2009

Researchers from Sweden found that men who hold in their anger about unfair treatment at work could give themselves a heart attack.
The men in the study reported their strategies for dealing with perceived unfair treatment, including walking away, voicing their anger, or venting at home. The results showed that the men who persistently failed to openly express their anger were more than twice as likely to have a heart attack or die of serious heart disease.
