Antiviral Medication and Swine Flu

The H1N1 virus is spreading quickly among students. A ten- year-old from
an elementary school in Alaska died over the weekend, and 2000 students
at Washington State University are coping with the high fever and body aches, but government health officials say most people who come down with the swine flu don't need to take antiviral medications.
That is not the case for high-risk patients like pregnant women, young children, and those with severe cases swine flu who should be treated with Tamiflu or Relenza.
China will start vaccinating people against swine flu this week, but the
first batch of vaccine won't be ready in the United States until mid-October.
