Tonsillectomy Linked to Children's Behavior

New research shows that some children who have their tonsils removed for sleep-related breathing issues actually saw a behavioral benefit, becoming less hyperactive and gaining a greater attention span for several years.
Enlarged tonsils that caused sleep disturbances are often thought to be at the root of some behavioral problems.
