BUFFALO, N.Y. ( WKBW ) The attention of the nation continues to focus on Greece, New York school bus monitor Karen Klein after a video was posted on social networking sites that show her being bullied by middle school students.

In addition to a reaction that generated almost $500,000 in donations to help the bullied bus monitor, parents and children everywhere are also talking about what happened.

Theresa Drum, from the WNY Parent Network, stopped by Channel 7's Eyewitness News to talk with Keith Radford about the situation.

Drum noted that bullying is not acceptable from anyone, to anyone, no matter what their age. Drum stressed that in addition to the senior citizen targeted in the tirade, challenged children can also become targets, and not even know it.

The Parent Network is proud to announce its 25th anniversary!

Twenty-five years ago, a small group of parents came together with a vision and a mission to provide support to parents and families of children with special needs. They secured funding; set up offices at 1443 Main Street in Buffalo…And Parent Network was born.
In the first year (2001) after moving into our current location at 1000 Main Street, Parent Network held about 100 workshops for parents and professionals in WNY and received more than 200 calls for Information and Referral. This past year, the agency conducted more than 225 workshop sessions throughout WNY and received more than 1100 Information and Referral calls.

This growth and success would not be possible without all of the support we have gotten from families, professionals and volunteers over the years. We couldn't do what we do, without all of you. We look forward to your continued support and providing supports and services for many years to come.
