KENMORE, NY (WKBW) - It was a celebration of art and music on Wednesday afternoon in Kenmore, as Mayor Patrick Mang dedicated a colorful new piano in the village gazebo.

The piano was painted and installed by local artist Mark Weber, as part of his "Pianos in Public" campaign. All of the pianos Weber paints are donated.

"The piano here in Kenmore was manufactured in Buffalo back in 1916," said Weber. "So it's pretty nice that we can have it 98 years later still being enjoyed by all people."

There is a daycare center situated right behind the gazebo where the painted piano now sits. Weber said he's hoping the bright colors and fun look of the piano will draw kids in and spark a love of music.
