BUFFALO, N.Y. (WKBW-TV) A new children’s coloring book will hit the shelves very soon. Local author and teacher at Mount Saint Mary Academy, Tim O’Shei, is celebrating the publication of “Be The One.”

“Nothing beats the feeling of opening that box from the printer and pulling your book out,” said O’Shei.

This is his sixty-first time pulling out his book, but for three high school students involved, it’s their first. Seniors, Brianna Kincaid and Sara Bingham are the illustrators.

“We never expected it to get this big,” said Bingham.

A song called, “Be The One”, inspired the coloring book. O’Shei wrote the song with Anthony Casuccio, a Grammy-nominated producer.

“We took the lyrics and broke them out page by page and developed illustration concepts for them,” said O’Shei.

It took two years to reach the final product but it’s been well worth the wait.

“If you color in it and listen to the song, it’s really catchy and inspirational,” said Kincaid.

The third senior involved with the publication is Francesca Harvey. She’s the recording artist who lent her voice to its inspirational message.

“It’s about when you have something special, bringing it to life,” says Harvey. “Be yourself and use the talents you’re given to help other people.”

Aside from illustrations to color, there are activities in the back of the book. There’s a step-by-step guide to help keep you on the path of your dreams.

The “Be The One” team is hosting a release party on Sunday night. It will be held at Performing Arts Dance Academy in Hamburg at 6:30 and is free to the public.

At 7:30 professional choreographer, Geo Hubela, will hold a dance class for $30. He’s been featured on MTV, Disney and Nickelodeon.
