Investigators believe it was a case of mistaken identity that ended the life of a young Buffalo man. Now they need your help finding the person responsible.
22 year old Lamonte Dow was celebrating the 4th of July this year with some friends at a party on Portage Street ... he and two of his friends were talking with some girls in the front yard when just after midnight ... a man appeared on the porch across the street at 558 East Utica, and without warning opened fire on the group of party-goers. Lamonte dow was struck by a bullet and killed.
Detectives say Lamonte Dow held down a steady job and never had any problems with the police.
