Event Description
Come out and celebrate the ice boom coming out of Lake Erie, a rite of spring unlike any other in the world! Parties, ceremonies, and activities abound on Sat, 4/18. For more information, visit www.boomdays.com.
There will be a poetry contest through 12pm on 4/16. Celebrate Buffalo Niagara and the waterfront! Prizes: 1st: $300, 2nd: $100, 3rd: $50. No length limit. Entries must be in English. Submit to boomdays@bnriverkeeper.org. Winners will be notified ahead of time and announced at the Dug’s Dive party.
Events kick off Sat. 4/18 from 9am-12pm with a shoreline cleanup at 40 sites throughout the Buffalo Niagara region. For more information or to sign up as a volunteer, call 716-852-7483 or visit www.bnriverkeeper.org.
After the cleanup, there will be kite flying at Tifft Nature Preserve, 1200 Fuhrmann Blvd. Make a kite with our help or bring your own!

Sat. 4/18- 6-10pm: Food, fun, and fireworks at LaSalle Yacht Club, 73 South 68th St, Niagara Falls. Live music from Ladies First Jazz.
Sat. 4/18- 5-10pm: Cash/credit bar and dinner. Live music from The Carl Filbert Band. Youngstown Yacht Club, 491 Water St, Youngstown.
