Organizers of the ORIGINAL Marilla Car, Truck & Cycle Show are revving up for Western New York's largest show of this kind to raise money for Mercy Flight WNY.
The 10th Anniversary event will be held at a NEW LOCATION IN ALDEN (Broadway, W. Main St., Alden Town Park). It will be the same great show you have come accustomed to know.
This premier annual event, which is completely staffed by volunteers, offers a family-friendly atmosphere as well as the coolest classic and custom cars & motorcycles from all over the East Coast and Canada. In 2012, the show featured over 1,000 show vehicles with 20,000 spectators.
Show organizers will welcome back celebrity guests including BYRON CHERRY, “Coy Duke” from “Dukes of Hazzard”; DIANE SOX, wife of the late great Champion Racer Ronnie Sox “The Boss”, Founder of the Ronnie Sox Foundation; LOU SANTIAGO, TV Show Host of “Car Fix” and one of the top five car builders in the country will present a live seminar, sponsored by Impala Brothers; FELIX SILLA, veteran actor of 45 movies and TV shows as Cousin Itt, Twiki, Ewok, and more. RICKY LEE, Nashville Recording Artist, will be performing a two-hour concert, sponsored by Made In America Store.
The Opening Ceremony at noon will be emceed by special guest Carl Russo from 97Rock and past Chairman, Vinny Beisiegel. There will be over 200 awards, 15 bands, celebrity cars, chicken BBQ, vendors, Chinese auction, prize raffles, 50/50, food, beverages, Kids Zone, and more. A “Coy Duke” Look-Alike Contest also will be featured, while Sensational Sounds will hold its karaoke finalist contest.
Admission will be FREE. Miles of fun...rain or shine. Vehicle registration will be held from 7:30am to 12noon at Precious People Daycare, 12001 Broadway, Alden, for $20. The first 300 registrants will receive a limited-edition 10th anniversary gift, and the first 500 registrants will receive a dash plaque and goody bag. Free shuttle service will be available for spectators from Alden Bowling Center, 1212 Sandridge Rd., to the show.
A Celebrity Dinner will be held on Saturday, July 27, 5:00-8:00pm, at the Whistle Stop Inn, 1338 Exchange St., Alden. Tickets are $25.
Proceeds will be donated to Mercy Flight WNY, an independent, not-for-profit provider of emergency air-medical transport services that serves Western New York and Northwestern Pennsylvania.
