Ashley Rhodes-Courter, author of the New York Times best-seller, "Three Little Words: A Memoir," will be the keynote speaker for a half-day workshop for mental health professionals and foster care workers/agencies and a dinner open to the public. Both events will address “the forgotten child” (those who suffer abuse or neglect at the hands of foster parents) and the need to improve the children’s mental health system. The dinner is being presented by the Mental Health Association of Erie County, Inc. (MHA) and the workshop is jointly presented by the MHA and Baker Victory Services. Rhodes-Courter is internationally recognized as an advocate for "the forgotten children" and has appeared on "The Today Show," "Good Morning America," "Nightline," "ABC Primetime," and other national media outlets.
