Spend a free, fun family day in the country! Multiple indoor & outdoor events mostly centered near Village Bandstand, include Holiday Mktplace, photos with Santa, hot chocolate, kettle corn, pony rides, horse drawn wagon rides, strolling carolers, and historic schoolhouse tours. Holiday Marketplace with wine tasting, gourmet foods & crafts for sale at American Legion Hall Noon - 4:30 (13143 Broadway). Children’s activities & wildlife exhibit in Community Center in Town Park on W. Main St. from 2-4. Living Nativity at ACTS/Beacon Café from 4-4:45. Children's stories at Library, 1-2. Historical Society tours 10-3. Open houses & special offers at many Alden businesses from 1- 5. Food tents around Bandstand all afternoon, near Santa. Local singer/songwriter Sara Elizabeth Genko will perform from the Bandstand from 4:30 – 5:30. Christmas Trees around the bandstand will be lighted at 5pm and judged, accompanied by carol singing. Live performance of "It's a Wonderful Life" at ACTS at 7:30. Sponsored by Alden Chamber of Commerce, Town of Alden Recreation Dept, and many local businesses. Free.
