Performer David Ruch is widely noted for his ability to engage audiences of all kinds. Equal parts historian, entertainer, educator, comedian and folklorist, his FREE presentation brings to life gems from dusty archives, obscure songbooks, diaries, old recordings, scholarly journals—and his own children. This event is part of the Buffalo & Erie County Naval & Military Park's War of 1812 Speaker Series, funded by a grant from the Buffalo & Erie County Standing Committee of the Niagara River Greenway Commission to the Niagara 1812 Bicentennial Legacy Council for the Park’s bicentennial celebration. This also is a New York State Council for the Humanities "Speakers in the Humanities" program.
