Event Description
Get ready to lace up your running shoes for the 4th Annual Pumpkin Run 5K Run & Family Fun Walk on Saturday, Oct. 13. Proceeds from the event will benefit the disadvantaged children served by Gateway-Longview. Participants of all ages are encouraged to wear Halloween costumes! The USATF-certified Halloween-themed race kicks off in front of the Tops/National Fuel complex on Spindrift Drive in Williamsville at 10:30 a.m., with a fall family-friendly post-race party to take place at Gateway-Longview's Campus (6350 Main Street in Williamsville) from 11 a.m. - 2 p.m.
The post-race party will feature awards, food, a costume contest with prizes, free post-race massages from licensed massage therapists, music, Billy Buffalo, children's entertainment, activities, face painting, crafts, pumpkin painting, and much more. Food will be provided by Chef's Restaurant.
New for this year's event, chip timing will be provided by Score This!!!, a local race timing company that offers ChampionChip timing technology, and the food served at the post-race party will be donated by Chef's Restaurant.
More than 400 people hit the pavement for Western New York's premier Halloween-themed run last year, which raised nearly $23,000 to support all of the disadvantaged children served by Gateway-Longview.
The event will go on rain or shine.
