FREE War of 1812 Speaker Series event. Town of Amherst historian and Bee Newspapers Managing Editor David F. Sherman shares the war stories behind local landmarks. Then Albright-Knox Art Gallery Assistant Curator of Education Jessica DiPalma illustrates how artists have depicted scenes of war as historical record and social commentary. Sponsored by the Buffalo & Erie County Naval & Military Park, this event is made possible by a grant from the Buffalo & Erie County Standing Committee of the Niagara Greenway Commission to the Niagara 1812 Bicentennial Legacy Council for the Park's bicentennial celebration.
