This is The Omega Mentoring Program, Inc. and The Sickle Cell Disease Foundation of Buffalo's 1st Annual Walk for Sickle Cell Anemia. Sickle cell disease is the most common genetic disorder in the United States. About 100,000 Americans are thought to be living with sickle cell disease, and every year another 1,000 babies are born with the disease. This walk is being held to raise awareness and ALL proceeds go to Sickle Cell Disease Foundation of Buffalo. Come out and join us , Sunday at 7am for registration or just to enjoy the park. Our very own Mayor Byron Brown will be in attendance to show his support!
