Event Description
Gardening roots continue to deepen in the communities surrounding the University at Buffalo's south campus. Now in its eleventh year, the Samuel P. Capen Garden Walk has established itself as a staple on the Western New York garden scene. A part of the National Garden Festival, this years walk features more than fifty gardens from the newly designated University Park historic district, University Heights and parts of Eggertsville. Supported by the University Heights Collaborative, The State University of New York at Buffalo and several University Heights businesses, the event will be held on Saturday, July 14, 2012, from 10:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. Front, back and side gardens of various styles will be exhibited including a garden on the grounds of the U.B. Anderson Gallery. The People's Park (adjacent to the Trimain Building) will open their gates as well. Maps will be available at the University Community Farmer's Market (U.B. South Campus at Main and North Bailey) and the newly located University Collaborative Tool Lending Library at 5 W. Northrup (at Main Street).
