Event Description
The Buffalo State Dance Program is presenting a modern dance performance meant to engage all the senses. Choreographed by dance faculty, “Alternative Dimensions” features 22 Buffalo State students and six guest artists including a Buffalo State alumna.
At 7:00 p.m. audience members can participate in “Docents and Delicacies – a Preshow Session for the Senses” on the third floor of the Bulger Communication Building. The five faculty choreographers interpreted different pieces of art to create an original dance. Docents will introduce the artwork and talk about the choreographers’ process. Wine and food pairings that correlate with the dance and art will be offered by students in the Culinary Arts program, along with area restaurateurs.
Tickets are $6 for Buffalo State students (if purchased prior to the show); $10 for Buffalo State faculty, staff, and alumni; and $15 for the general public. Tickets for the “Docents and Delicacies” experience are $20.
Alternative Dimensions will run from Wednesday, April 18, to Saturday, April 21 at 8:00 p.m., with an additional performance on April 21 at 2:00 p.m.
