Event Description
Our upcoming exhibit at our North Hall facility will feature documents relating to nuclear developments from the late 19th through mid 20th centuries.
Noted documents:
-Madame Curie’s research notes on Polonium and Radium
-A letter from Albert Einstein to President Franklin D. Roosevelt discussing the possibility of using Uranium as new and important source of energy, including the production of bombs.
- A memo from President Truman to Great Britain stating that the US and Great Britain will not use the atomic bomb against third parties w/o each other’s consent
-The United States agreement to give Iraq Nuclear capabilities
-A letter from President Lyndon Johnson to a Pennsylvania Congressman discussing the signing of the Non-Proliferation Treaty
