Location: Buffalo & Erie County Historical Society, 25 Nottingham Court (at Elmwood Ave.), Buffalo
Author and storyteller Lorna MacDonald Czarnota will speak and sign copies of her new book, “Wicked Niagara: The Sinister Side of the Niagara Frontier” (The History Press, Inc., 2011). She will tell stories about the dark side of the Niagara Frontier’s history. All hidden in the region’s past are tales of a plot to invade Canada, a Mafia stronghold, madness, murder and savagery. From the blood-soaked grounds of battle, local storyteller Czarnota brings Wicked Niagara with its and grim tales of the region’s early struggles into the light.
The event is free for Historical Society members, and free with regular museum admission for non-members.
