Event Description
The Klima Family needs your help! Emily Grace Klima was born premature at 27 weeks. She was diagnosed with grade three brain bleeds, which results in a diagnosis of Cerebral Palsy. Emily’s Cerebral Palsy is such that there is already the beginning of a mild rotation of her hips and “stiff-ness” in lower extremities which is interfering with her ability to walk.
In May 2011, the Klima Family will be traveling to St. Louis to undergo a life changing spinal surgery, called Selective Dor-sal Rhizotomy. This surgery will lessen the “stiffness” cre-ated by Emily’s Cerebral Palsy. The disease currently interferes with her ability to walk and is inhibiting her muscle growth.
Friends and family of the Klima’s are hosting a benefit on Saturday, May 14, 2011 at the Knights of Columbus, 2735 Union Road, Cheektowaga, NY to assist with past, present, and future medical expenses as they continue on the journey of providing Emily with everything needed for a future full of love and opportunity.
TICKETS $25 each pre-sale, $30 at the door , children 10 and under FREE. Ticket includes pizza, dessert, pop, beer, wine and one sheet of auction tickets.
