Event Description
Family, friends and loved ones of cancer patient Zeljka Ereiz will be holding a benefit on Sunday, March 13, 2011 at the Polish Falcons Club on 445 Columbia Avenue in Depew from 1:00 – 5:00 p.m.
In September 2010, Zeljka Ereiz, received the news that all families pray not to hear. She was diagnosed with stage 4 Esophageal Cancer. After months of treatment she was informed that the cancer spread to her bone and lung.
Zeljka came to Buffalo in January 1999 with her husband Mato, son Ivan and daughter Monika. They arrived in the U.S. as refugees of the Yugoslavian War. Zeljka and Mato came here with nothing in the hope that they could give their children a more promising future. They immediately started working and trying to achieve the “American Dream”. Due to her sickness, Zeljka has not worked for many months, and will not be able to return to work in the near future. Without her income it is difficult for them to pay for daily living expenses, yet alone for medical bills.
The benefit will feature a Chinese and silent auction, 50/50 raffle and a bake sale! Some of the items up for auction include Backstreet Boys/New Kids on Block tickets, WWE tickets, a 2-night stay in Toronto for two, Tyler Myers signed hockey stick, autographed Sabres jerseys, Ryan Miller autographed photo and hockey pucks, Bisons luxury suite for any game, various Sabres game tickets and a lot more!
The event will be hosted by Tony Mamaluke from KISS 98.5. Tickets are $25.00 at the door, and include pizza, pop and beer. Monetary donations are also welcome at http://www.giveforward.com/mamazeljka.
