AMHERST, NY (WKBW) -- A federal judge decided to keep a woman detained locally on Friday after she traveled hundreds of miles to Western New York to allegedly sleep with a teenager. The judge also ordered she receive a mental health evaluation.

35 year old Angie Jenkins of Michigan is accused of traveling to Amherst back in June to illegally have sex with a Williamsville teenager she met while playing an internet video game called 'World of Warcraft'. She was arrested in August after the relationship was discovered by the minor's parents.

The defense is building its case but no comment yet on the specifics. "Reviewing it and discussing it with my client... presumed innocent at this point," defense attorney Kimberly Schechter said.

Jenkins is being charged with enticing a minor to engage in sexual activity. She faces 10 years to life in prison if convicted and is scheduled for a preliminary hearing on October 25th at 11am.

Jenkins reportedly has five children, has been married twice, and unemployed.
