(WKBW release) The New York State Department of Transportation on Friday announced that highway paving will occur on NY Route 263, Millersport Highway, between Interstate 990 and NY Route 78, Transit Road, in the town of Amherst, Erie County.
As a result, beginning on Tuesday, May 29, NY Route 263 will be reduced to one lane northbound and southbound between Interstate 990 and NY Route 78 between 7:00 a.m. and 5:00 p.m. This work is expected to last four days.
This work is weather-sensitive and may be delayed in the event of inclement weather.
Motorists are reminded that fines are doubled for speeding in a work zone. In accordance with the Work Zone Safety Act of 2005, convictions of two or more speeding violations in a work zone could result in the suspension of an individual’s driver’s license.
