Target Reviewing Policies After Shoppers Get Trampled

NORTH BUFFALO, NY (WKBW) -- We are just starting the holiday shopping season and there has already been issues including some customers getting hurt while trying to get the best deals.

The latest incident happened at a Target store on Delaware Avenue in North Buffalo and has store managers reviewing their policies. A couple shoppers were trampled by other customers rushing into the store on black Friday. Several early bird shoppers were knocked over sending at least one man to the hospital, as hundreds of shoppers tried grabbing those big holiday deals.

Target released this statement Monday in response. "The safety of our guests and team members is a top priority. We take this incident very seriously. Target plans well in advance of black Friday and employs numerous crowd management tactics to prevent incidents. We continually analyze and improve those plans and will do so in this case, to help ensure a safe and enjoyable shopping experience."
