Jamestown, N.Y. (WKBW release) -- The 2011 Jamestown Area Chamber of Commerce Riverwalk Concert Series kicks off this Thursday, June 30 from 7-9 p.m. with The Loose Change Band performing at the Riverwalk in Brooklyn Square.
“Everyone involved is very excited to kick-off the series with The Loose Change Band,” said Ashley Anderson, Downtown Jamestown Development Corporation Special Events Coordinator.
The Loose Change Band plays a wide variety of songs with a light touch and a sense of humor. Their music is solidly dance orientated and goes from Modern & Traditional Country to Classic Rock and Pop Standards.
They perform at all types of venues including festivals, fairs, clubs, campgrounds, dinners and weddings. Some of their most recent engagements include Corry Summer Concerts, Oil Heritage Festival, Wesleyville American Legion, Erie County Fair, Benefit at Family Affair Campgrounds, just to name a few.
In the event of inclement weather, DJDC officials will announce a location change to the Renaissance Center.
“We always hope the weather cooperates, as the riverwalk is the perfect location for an outdoor concert, but location in the event of rain will be in the Renaissance Center,” said Anderson. “The concert will still be held from 7 p.m.-9 p.m., just indoors. We will make the announcement between noon and 1pm if we will be moving the concert to the Renaissance Center.”
Upcoming concerts include Smokehouse on July 14th, 2011, Two for Flinching on July 28th, 2011, and a performance on August 11th, 2011 which is to be announced at a later date.
The Jamestown Savings Bank Riverwalk Concert Series is supported in part by Jamestown Area Chamber of Commerce, Community Bank N.A., DJDC, Heritage Ministries, County of Chautauqua Industrial Development Agency, Jamestown Area Medical Associates, and The Post Journal.
