Salamanca, N.Y. (WKBW release) -- Olean General Hospital’s Salamanca Health Center has expanded to offer new diagnostic imaging capabilities and updated laboratory facilities.
The new diagnostic imaging equipment allows physicians to identify various health issues in a timely manner directly on site, saving travel to other hospitals in the region.
“The Salamanca Health Center is an important component of our health system,” said Timothy J. Finan, president and CEO of Upper Allegheny Health System and member hospitals Bradford Regional Medical Center and Olean General Hospital. “We are committed to providing enhanced access to quality care to individuals in the greater Salamanca area, and this project is supportive of that commitment.”
The Salamanca Health Center offers primary health care to individuals sixteen years and older by Mary Elizabeth “Libby” Smith, ANP. With the installation of x-ray equipment at the facility, clinicians now have the ability to diagnose and address urgent care issues on campus. New equipment also ensures that patients can receive quality care without traveling out of the immediate area.
Officials have also expanded and renovated laboratory facilities at the center to increase patient safety and satisfaction. The Salamanca Health Center is one of just four blood-draw stations in Cattaraugus County.
Center hours are on Mondays, Tuesdays, Thursdays and Fridays from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m., and Wednesdays from 11 a.m. to 7 p.m.
