Buffalo, N.Y. (WKBW release) -- Buffalo River Fest Park is alive with the sound of music this summer.

The park is now hosting a Wednesday night concert series throughout July and August with live music from 6-10 p.m.

On July 20, the Bleed Hearts, Buffalo Hall of Music Award winners during the 1990’s, will take to the stage.

On July 27, Urban Renewal, a well known party and dance band featuring a horn section, will be brought back to the venue by popular demand. The band was featured at the park’s grand opening in June.

Only Humen, also a Buffalo Hall of Music award winner and popular throughout Western New York, will perform on August 3rd. The band is led by Frank Pusateri who is native to the South Buffalo area.

Crash Cadillac, the fun interactive oldies band, will be featured on August 10th.

The series will wrap up on Wednesday, August 24th with the Town Pants, an international touring act. The Town Pants band, which hails from Vancouver, Canada, combines aspects of traditional Irish music, folk rock, and Americana, creating a unique brand of high energy “West Coast Celtic.” With their performance at the 2010 Winter Olympics in Vancouver and at festivals throughout United States, Canada and Europe, the group is a consistent audience favorite.

Food and refreshments will be available at all concerts. More information about the concert series can be obtained by calling 716-823-4707 ext. 2 or by visiting www.thevalleycenter.com.
