(WKBW release) The New York State Department of Transportation has announced that highway maintenance will occur on NY Route 33 westbound (inbound), the Kensington Expressway, in the vicinity of NY Route 277 (Union Road), in the town of Cheektowaga, Erie County.
As a result, NY Route 33 westbound (inbound) between Dick Road and Interstate 90 will be reduced to one lane on Thursday, April 26, beginning at 9:00 a.m. until 6:00 p.m.

Motorists are reminded that fines are doubled for speeding in a work zone. In accordance with the Work Zone Safety Act of 2005, convictions of two or more speeding violations in a work zone could result in the suspension of an individual’s driver’s license.
