BUFFALO, NY (WKBW) -- Many people from across the country are coming to Buffalo for a full weekend. The National Federation for Just Communities is having its third annual leadership conference in downtown Buffalo for three days.

It kicked off with a luncheon Friday afternoon with Mayor Byron Brown and Erie County Executive Chris Collins at the Buffalo Conference Center. 11 affiliates from across the country will be here this weekend and organizers say there's a full program planned. "We talk about strategy, our programs, and everyone has basically the same mission," Lana Benatovich, the president for the National Federation for Just Communities of Western New York, said. "To build bridges, to overcome our barriers, to build a just community for everybody, and we're very excited."
