Buffalo, N.Y. (WKBW release) -- Disney Theatrical Productions and Shea’s Performing Arts Center announced Thursday that tickets for the long-awaited return engagement of Disney's The Lion King will go on sale to the public on Saturday, June 18.
Tickets will be available for purchase beginning at 10 a.m. on June 18 by calling Ticketmaster at 1-800-745-3000, online at www.ticketmaster.com and www.sheas.org as well as at the Shea’s Ticket Office. There is an eight-ticket limit per patron. For groups (15 or more), please call 716-829-1154.
The Lion King will debut at Shea's on Tuesday, October 4 for a limited engagement of four weeks through Sunday, October 30. Preview performances will be October 4 and 5. The opening night is Thursday, October 6 at 7:30 p.m. The show’s six-week premiere engagement in 2005 played a sold-out run at Shea’s Performing Arts Center.
The Lion King will play Tuesday through Thursday evenings at 7:30 p.m., Fridays at 8:00 p.m., Saturdays at 2:00 p.m. and 8:00 p.m. and Sundays at 1:00 p.m. and 6:30 p.m. There will be a special 1:00 p.m. matinee on Thursday, October 27. There will not be a 6:30 p.m. performance on Sunday, October 30. Ticket prices start as low as $22.50. Additionally, Premium Ticket Packages, which include a prime seat location, a commemorative souvenir program and an exclusive merchandise item, are also available.
