September 27, 2013 Updated May 2, 2012 at 3:38 PM EDT

(WKBW release) Devin Bly, a second grader at Hoover Elementary School, was nominated by his teacher for the Buffalo Museum of Science "Curious Student Scientist of the Year" award based on his strong curiosity and passion for the sciences this year.

Devin has demonstrated intense interest in researching and sharing with the class about natural disasters, weather, and storms.  Classmates voted him most likely to be a meteorologist when he grows up.  He is the only student in Ken-Ton District to receive this award.

Devin and family will be greeted at a reception held at the museum in May when he will receive an award, including museum membership opportunities for his family.
