Buffalo, N.Y. (WKBW release) -- An Advisory Board of the Buffalo Public Schools will host three public hearings later this month to receive input on the Code of Conduct in an effort to reduce suspensions.
The Advisory Board will then report their findings to the superintendent and Board of Education.
Associate Superintendent Dr. Will Keresztes said in a news release, “The purpose of these public meetings is to receive proposals directly from stakeholders that lead to reducing student suspensions. Everyone agrees that parents and the district must work together to reduce student suspensions from school.”
Meetings are open to the public and will take place as follows:
Monday, January 9th, 12-pm, Merriweather Library - 1324 Jefferson Ave.
Monday, January 9th, 5-7pm, Waterfront School - 95 Fourth St.
Thursday, January 12th, 6-8pm, Waterfront School - 95 Fourth St
